5 Year Old Teacher
Welcome, students and parents to the K-B kindergarten class
. This is going to be an exciting time for you and your child. I have set goals for my students to ensure they learn and receive the best of their early educational journey. My hope is that each child will be ready when they enter the first grade. I encourage all parents to get on board with your child's learning experiences.
We will discover new and exciting places as we travel around the world, such as Japan, Africa, China, USA and others throughout Social Studies. In Science we will learn about the stars, animals and plants, our solar system, ecology, and everyday life studies about self, family, home, community and our character development. Music, Spanish and Computer skills are also offered as part of our learning experiences.
Homework is given daily, Monday-Thursday with an exception to PTO Meetings and special programs.
Parents please read all information that comes home, especially your Weekly Report and always check the parent information center located outside the classroom.
I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your child. Room 120 is always open to you. Feel free to drop in anytime.
Greetings and God's blessings to each of you. I am Mary Archie, a teacher at Saint John Baptist Preschool for the last seventeen (17) years. I have been in the educational field for over forty (40) years.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Allen University here in Columbia, SC and then received my CDA (Child Development Associate). On an annual basis, I receive fifteen (15±) credit hours that are DSS approved.
My hobbies include: reading, singing, watching sports (baseball and football) and spending time with family and friends.
Not having birth children of my own, I consider all children mine- my nieces, nephews, cousins, children from church and St. John Preschool are all special to me and are treated with love and respect.
